Physical and Chiropractic Therapy
Our professional staff is composed of physical therapists specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide the highest quality services to each of our clients by combining clinical knowledge from our practitioners and support from all staff members. We strive to enable each client to function independently in work, home or athletic activity. In addition to physical rehabilitation, we offer a wellness program under the direction of a personal trainer. The wellness program consists of private training sessions, age management classes, weight loss prior to joint replacement, ACL management after physical therapy.
A chiropractic adjustment typically involves:
- A high velocity, short lever arm thrust applied to a vertebra
- An accompanying, audible release of gas (joint cavitation) that is caused by the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, which releases joint pressure (cavitation)19
- A relieving sensation most of the time, although minor discomfort has been reported (that usually lasts for a short time duration) if the surrounding muscles are in spasm or the patient tenses up during this chiropractic care.
Chiropractic is a health care profession dedicated to the non-surgical treatment of disorders of the nervous system and/or musculoskeletal system. Generally, chiropractors maintain a unique focus on spinal manipulation and treatment of surrounding structures.
